life’s canvas was founded in 2005 by Suparna Dhar.  Having spent over ten years in a variety of international Human Resources roles in both the private and public sector after the birth of her daughter she decided to retrain as a Coach to gain better work life balance and help individuals make positive changes in their lives.

So what is her story?

“For a good few years I knew I wanted to change my career as I wanted less office politics, more work life balance and a role that was more proactive but I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do.  During this time a friend suggested the idea of retraining as a Coach so in 2005 after my daughter was born I started qualifying to becoming Coach and started my business.

I really enjoy my role as a mum, however I remember struggling with areas such as time management as I had to juggle changing nappies, feeding, getting her dressed and getting myself dressed all at the same time!  However I have to confess the first six months were nothing compared to weaning as my daughter had multiple allergies and every time I introduced new a food into her diet it would end in disaster!  After that we had challenges around bedtime routines, bath time, discipline and boundaries and excessive amounts of TV!

Therefore as a combination of my passion in coaching and parenting I decided that life’s canvas should focus on Every Child Matters to support parents/carers of children of all ages.

I am absolutely passionate about improving and contributing to my community whether that is the place that I live in or the place and people I work with.  I really believe that by empowering parents and engaging children we can improve the lives of parents/carers and children.   I love being a mum and really enjoy it however I also totally  understand that life can be extremely difficult if you lack basic literacy skills, live below the poverty line and have suffered from mental or physical long term illness or have been a victim of domestic violence which so many of my clients have faced.  We work with each client on an individual basis and give them exactly the right amount of support they need to that they can benefit from coaching by creating a happier, calmer and loving relationship with their children.”

I am passionate about helping people achieve their full potential and make the most of their life. Now that I have two young sons I realise how wonderful - and yet challenging - motherhood can be.  Nothing could have prepared me for the physical and emotional rollercoaster that comes with two little people that are completely dependent on you!

I now specialise in helping Mums enjoy their family life and have a positive impact on their children – whilst ensuring that they don’t forget to look after themselves.  I particularly enjoy helping people discover new possibilities for their future and overcome sticking points such as low self confidence and lack of time and energy. My style has been described as “empathetic, intuitive and results-oriented”.

Additional specialist training I have undertaken includes Parent, Confidence and Career coaching. I now work with life’s canvas as I love the idea of helping families have a healthier diet and a happier life and relationships with each other. www.inspiredmums.co.uk

My Virtual Concierge

Tracy, founder of My Virtual Concierge has been associated with lifes canvas for over two years now and provides invaluable administration, research, course management and virtual assistant services.  MVC work in the background alongside Suparna to ensure life canvas meet the demands and expectations of each and every one of our commissioning bodies and course attendees.  As lifes canvas grew as a committed service provider, it was clear that streamlining all of our activities and courses was an essential part of our process in moving our business forward and Tracy at MVC has played a major part in turning our dreams into a reality, by sharing her ideas and resources with us.  With their excellent marketing knowledge, advertising know-how, IT skills and devilishly hard negotiating – I’d struggle to find a better VA company to entrust my business too.

My Virtual Concierge was designed to help small business owners or private individuals, by providing an Ad Hoc service covering a multitude of services, to help them regain their ever diminishing free time.  MVC can help you find ‘free time’ by undertaking the tasks that you no longer want to do, are time-consuming, non-profit making or simply uninteresting like shopping, chores, administration tasks and research.  However, their experience doesn’t stop there, whatever you want , whatever you need and whenever you need it, they are always there to help.  Lifes canvas have put them to the test on numerous occasions and have always had our expectations exceeded.
